TWO Days!

Thanks for all the advice and comments! I think I've made a decision to just stick to Gu and water. I've read online that Gu does contain electrolytes, so that's a plus! Now, concerning the whole sock issue... I think I'll just wear my normal socks and just use Body Glide on my feet before putting the socks on. But, this is exactly what I did Saturday and it didn't stop the blisters. So, we'll see. My only concern on wearing different socks is that my feet will be hot. I wore different socks Tuesday night and I could definitely tell that the socks were too thick...

Moving on.. I've printed out the race map and have figured out a few places where my family can cheer me on from - without having to drive all over the place. So far, it looks like hubs, my dad and maybe my stepmom will be in attendance. Which, is fine by me. As long as I have a few people there - I'm pretty happy. :)

My stomach has started giving me some issues - I'm hoping it's just nerves. I'm pretty sure that's all it is. I just hope the issues go away and will not make an appearance on race day.

I'm thinking of soaking in Epsom Salt the night before the race. I usually just take a warm bath, but I'm wondering if this ES will help loosen up my muscles. Any thoughts?

I pick up my race packet after work - I'm super duper excited! I'll still have to pick up my timing chip race morning. For some reason, they're not letting us pick them up till Saturday morning. Guess they want us to be even more stressed?? ha!

Last but not least...and totally unrelated.. Here is a picture of me and Paula Deen (cut out) from this past weekend. It's a tradition that I take a picture with her every time we go eat there. I totally should've taken off my jacket as it makes me look like a whale...but you live and you learn, right? lol Also, please note that I ran 10.5 miles that day and hadn't had a nap! HA!

2 more days till my first half marathon!!!

I am so excited for you. I can't wait to hear all about it. If you are prone to the PC's (poopy cramps) I recommend taking an immodium the morning of the race. The earlier the better. I always do b/c of nerves.

Good luck and I hope that wasn't TMI.
